A man with a cute little dog in a vest distracted antique store employees while his cohorts stole thousands of dollars of items from a Woodbury shop on Monday, according to police.

The man, carrying a black puppy, looked at a print in the back of Tillie’s Antiques on Main Street as three people took about $3,000 worth of jewelry and estate pieces, according to State Police and the Waterbury Republican-American.

The antiques heist happened just after 4 p.m., police said. They are looking for two men and two women and have developed some leads, police said.
