Big East Women's Tourney Bracket Released

The UConn women's basketball team just put the finishing touches on another undefeated run through the Big East. Monday night's 82-47 win over Syracuse improved UConn's record to 16-0 in the conference for the 2010-2011 season, and it was their fifth-straight regular season title (not to mention their 78th consecutive win at home and their 66th consecutive Big East win).

The reward? The Huskies won't play again until the quarterfinals of the Big East Tourney, which will be held March 4-8 at the XL Center in Hartford.

On Tuesday morning, the conference released the tournament bracket. Just like the men's side, the women's field "is based on regular-season league records, with the highest four seeds earning double byes into the quarterfinals on Sunday, March 6. Teams finishing in spots 5-8 earned first-round byes, while seeds 9-16 will begin play in the first round on March 4."
