Charlie Sheen Tour Coming to CT

Charlie Sheen, the crazed but entertaining former star of the top-rated sitcom "Two And A Half Men," has just announced that he'll bring his "Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat is Not An Option Show" to Wallingford's Oakdale Theatre on April 12. Tickets for Sheen's first two performances, in Detroit and Chicago, sold out in under twenty minutes.

Sheen has rocketed to an outrageous level of national prominence based on his outlandish Twitter feed and bizarre television interviews. The actor has battled a myriad of substance abuse and behavioral issues throughout the years, and recently responded to his firing from the CBS series by filing a $100 million lawsuit against the network.

Details surrounding the performances are scant, but Charlie is promising that "This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock." Over at Live Nation's venue page, a description for the show hints at possible guests, mayhem, surprises, laughter and screaming. Whether that means discussing his plan to visit Haiti with Sean Penn or hosting a porn star roundtable, well, that remains to be seen. One thing is for sure: Charlie may be painful to watch, but he's never boring. Tickets for the cringeworthy but can't-miss spectacle go on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m. for $62.10-$106 and are expected to sell out in a matter of minutes.
