Designer drop alert: Olivier Theyskens collection for Theory has landed in store in Greenwich and without resorting to gush, it's good. Clustered on two L-shaped racks, standouts include the Large Messenger bag ($775,) super-short Shari skirt ($220,) and lapelled leather Juji Jacket ($980.)
But, in all honesty, there's not much we didn't love. The lines are clean and sensible, yet silhouettes are more daring than your average Theory pantsuit, with hints of Theysken's flair for the dramatic in details like elongated cuffs, super sharp cuts, and pointed "forward shrugging" shoulders.
As for the price point: It's high for the retailer, $600 to $700 for jackets as opposed to the usual $300, but low for Theyskens, which almost makes for some credit card justification.
