The Berlin Turnpike was closed between Kitts Lane and Main Street in Newington after a car struck a pole, police said.
The road was closed in both directions and traffic is being detoured through the Tweeter’s Plaza parking lot, Newington police said. Just before 8 a.m., the northbound lanes opened but one southbound lane remained closed.
The collision happened around 7 a.m. and brought down wires, police said. The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
