Several crashes and a water main break caused problems on Connecticut roads on Friday morning.
In Granby, a car struck a utility pole on Route 189, snapping two poles snapping and bringing down wires.
One man was in the car and walked to a nearby home to call 911, police said.
Police said that Lifestar was called but canceled. Route 198 was closed, from East Street to Wells Road.
Just before 7:30 a.m., a crash closed the right lane of Interstate 84 West, between Exits 17 and 16 in Southbury. Officials said the crash involved a tractor-trailer and some other vehicles.
In Vernon, West Street was closed at Grand Avenue and Regan Road after a car struck a hit telephone pole.
In Middletown, a water main break closed Hunting Hill Road, from Russell to Newtown streets.
