Close second to the bride's Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown: The seriously crazy hats at Westminster Abbey. How many of us are now wishing to see these creations up close and personal? In locally sourced substiutes, we treked out to the Danbury Historical Society to check some of the equally out of control works of fashion which will go on display this June as part of "Magnificent Millinery: Three Centuries of Women's Hat's in Danbury." No sparkling crowns, but we did spot plenty of feathers, one with it's own dangling earrings, and even a fur lined bonnet. Click through to see the fancy things ladies used to wear on their heads right here in Connecticut.
