Cat Fight at the Hungry Tiger

Manchester police are investigating a brawl at the Hungry Tiger Cafe. They were called to the bar on Charter Oak Street early Thursday morning. A man was allegedly trying to break up a fight between two women when someone else assaulted him, police said. The man was taken to the hospital. Police have not made any arrests.


"Legs" Taken Out From Under Insurance Company

A Rhode Island man has pleaded guilty to federal charges involving the theft of nearly $900,000 worth of furniture from The Hartford insurance company. Michael Young, 35, of Coventry, R.I., pleaded guilty Wednesday to a kickback scheme with a former manager for The Hartford.



Fatal Motorcycle Crash

A Manchester man died in a motorcycle crash on Route 2 in Marlborough. Anthony Flores was killed Wednesday afternoon when his bike hit a curb and metal rope guide, according to state police.


Arrest in Danbury Robbery, Shooting

Federal drug agents and Connecticut police have arrested a Bronx, N.Y., man in a drug robbery and fatal shooting in Danbury. Heriberto Gonzalez, 29, was arrested Wednesday by Danbury police and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents. He's the second man indicted in the murder and robbery of a Bronx man whose bullet-riddled body was found in February along Route 37, near New Fairfield. Andrew Zayac, 29, of Scarsdale, N.Y., was arrested earlier. The two are accused of robbing Rivera of his marijuana stash, then killing him.
