Flay Throws Down Another Restaurant at Mohegan Sun

Looks like Chef Bobby Flay has added his cooking flare to another restaurant at Mohegan Sun. The "Iron Chef" winner will open a branch of his Bar Americain restaurant on Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

On the Mohegan Sun website, Bar Americain is featured in the fine dining section and promises to offer "the foods of America with a healthy dose of the bold flavors Bobby Flay is most known for."

Some sample entrees: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Red Snapper Florida Style, and Duck with Dirty Wild Rice, Pecans, Bourbon. They'll set you back anywhere from $24 to $34.

"I'm thrilled to introduce Bar Americain at Mohegan Sun," said Flay in a statement.  "Here too I will celebrate the vast culinary traditions found in the US while also featuring dishes that showcase the wealth of ingredients and traditions of New England and, given our location, that of the Native American culture."

The restaurant seats 276 and will serve dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday dinner runs till midnight. The bar opens at 11 a.m. It opens to the public on Sunday, November 22.

This is Bobby Flay's second venture at the casino. He opened Bobby's Burger Palace in Mohegan's Casino of the Earth back in July.
