Get Ready for Super Bowl Parties

Several bars are giving away big TVs and more.

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest party days of the year. For those of you who want to hit the town, here are a few places in Connecticut offering Super Bowl deals that are sure to score a touchdown.

“Sunday Funday,” according to Wicked Wolf in New Haven, is about to get a little bit more fun. The night of the Super Bowl will be full of all-you-can-eat wings and all you can drink Bud Light bottles up until halftime. Everyone who purchases a ticket will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a flat screen television. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 or bought at the door the day of for $25.

Similar to Wicked Wolf, Black Bear in Hartford will be streaming full Super Bowl coverage. With more than 30 HD televisions, there is no bad seat in the house. Buying a ticket for $20 will allow you to have access to all-you-can-eat wings and all you can drink Bud Light Bottles from kick-off to halftime. A 42-inch TV will be raffled off during halftime for all those who bought a ticket. Tickets for the bash can be purchased online.

Residents in Cromwell can spend Super Bowl Sunday at Rookies Bar and Grill. There will be hundreds of free giveaways, including televisions, grills, lawnmowers and apparel. Drink specials will be available all night. Festivities will begin around 6 p.m. but doors open at 11:30 a.m.

Celebrating their five-year anniversary Raya’s Pizzeria in Gales Ferry will be hosting a Super Bowl Party. Five dollar large pizzas will be available during the game, along with dollar draft beers. Several televisions around the room will make for a pleasurable viewing experience.

If you are looking for a full-course meal, try O’Neill’s in South Norwalk. For $40, you can have a full dinner meal and access to an open bar, starting at 6 p.m. The party will last until the end of the game, but everyone is invited to stay until close at 1 in the morning.

Bills Seafood, in Westbrook, is holding a pre-game tailgate party and chili cook-off, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. A $20-ticket provides a BBQ buffet, chili and live music.
