Hartford Restaurant Week Returns

Get a great meal for $20.12

Now through Feb. 5, visitors to downtown Hartford will be able to find cheaper meals at select restaurants.

The city’s restaurant week, “Taste of Hartford,” began its winter edition on Monday as 33 participating restaurants unveiled prix-fixe menus featuring three-course meals for $20.12.

Participants include highly rated spots like Firebox, where diners can begin with their choice of mixed greens or potato leek soup, followed by fluke or braised lamb, with chocolate pot de crème or white chocolate bread pudding as dessert options.

Other featured items from local restaurants include Hot Tomato’s chicken parmesan; Max Downtown’s cider glazed pork shanks and stuffed sole at Vito’s by the Park. Diners with a taste for more exotic dishes can look to Costa del Sol, Agave Grill or Feng Asian Bistro.

Taste of Hartford is presented by the Greater Hartford Arts Council and the Hartford Advocate.

Connecticut Restaurant week’s web site advises visitors to make reservations, as restaurants are expected to book quickly.
