Haunted Lighthouse in Norwalk This Weekend

Ghosts, goblins, and ghouls are all a part of family fun this weekend at Sheffield Lighthouse in South Norwalk.

Halloween is still more than two months away, but the Norwalk Seaport Association will provide free daytime activities for all ages, as well as a ghost-hunting adventure for thrill-seeking families.

The Sheffield Lighthouse will be decorated with spooky creatures lurking in the dark on Saturday, Aug. 11 and Saturday, Aug. 12.

All activities at Sheffield Lighthouse are free this weekend, but guests must purchase a round-trip NSA ferry ticket.

The ferry will depart at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. each day with rates of $22 for an adult ticket, $12 for children age 4-12, and $5 for children age 3 and under. Visitors can then board at the Sheffield Island dock adjacent to Stroffolino Bridge on the corner of Washington and Water streets.

The Norwalk Seaport Association is a non-profit group that works towards preservation, education, and public awareness of the environment. The port also offers a 45-foot catamaran for an island cruise and lighthouse tour in addition to dining and seashell hunting activities.
