Today in breaking window displays, local retailers are replacing mannequins with real people and Sugar Plum Fairies.
Why? Judy Jendrucek of SoundRUNNER in Old Saybrook told the Shoreline Times, "people would see the models having fun in the windows, be further drawn in by the refreshments, and stay to browse."
We'd attempt to describe the scene statewide, but so much more entertaining to click through and see the model citizens in action.
