Lauren Bacall has died at the age 89 after suffering a stroke.

The legendary Hollywood actress was no stranger to Connecticut.

In the summer of 1945, Bacall and Humphrey Bogart honeymooned at the Inn at Mystic.

Bogart was friendly with Frederick Mosel, who then owned The Inn at Mystic, according to the Norwich Bulletin and the newlyweds stayed in room 8 in the Gatehouse of the Inn.

Bacall and Bogart were among the stars to stay at the Silvermine Tavern in Norwalk, according to Connecticut Magazine.
