A Taste of The Litchfield Hills is moving

Changes are coming to a popular festival.

After 27 years of being held at various locations, A Taste of The Litchfield Hills is moving to its new home at the Harwinton Fairgrounds.

A Taste of The Litchfield Hills is Connecticut's oldest food & wine festival, according to their news release, and you’ll find samples of food and wine from across the region, as well as upscale shopping and live entertainment.

The festival will be held on Aug. 25  and 26, from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Advance tickets are available. The cost is $8 for adult advanced ticket and $7 for seniors. If you wait to buy a ticket there, the price is $10 for attendees 12 years old and older and $9 for seniors. Children under 12 get in free.

You can get to the Harwinton Fairgrounds from Routes 4 and 8. It has handicapped accessible restrooms and covered pavilions for outdoor dining, event manager Clinton Billups said.
