Hartford is getting a new concert venue.
The festival stage at the Comcast Theatre will be a 6,000 general admission venue inside the Comcast Theatre plaza.
The concert space, which is located near the top left of the plaza, is expected to host five or six shows each summer.
“It’s a very exciting new concert area for fans to be outdoors and up close to their favorite bands in a festival setting. It also will bring new acts to the region and make the Comcast Theatre truly the best concert destination in the area,” Jim Koplik, president of Live Nation Connecticut, said.
