Shabazz Napier isn't the only Husky thinking about the NBA Draft. He's the only senior, but juniors Ryan Boatright and DeAndre Daniels have looming decisions to make, too. Boatright said recently that he's still not sure what he'll do and the thought of donning a UConn jersey for one more season is enticing. Daniels, meanwhile, looks like an NBA player, but has struggled with consistency throughout his career.
Both players will sit down to discuss their futures with coach Kevin Ollie.
"I’m just going to give them information that I’ve received from general managers, and then they’re going to have to make their own decisions,” Ollie said, via the New Haven Register. “I don’t want to make any decisions for them. I want them to be committed, if they’re gonna come back. They’ve got to have the right attitude. If they decide to go to the pros, they’re gonna have to have the right attitude.
"I’m gonna give them information, and they’re gonna have to make the decision that’s best for their family. Not what’s best for UConn. What’s best for them and their family. And hopefully, they make the right decision and be committed to it. If you decide to go the NBA, you’d better be in the best shape of your life. If you decide to come back to UConn, you’d better be in the best shape of your life. I know they will.”
As it stands, UConn's 2014 recruiting class includes transfer guards Rodney Purvis, Daniel Hamilton and Sam Cassell Jr., and forward Rakim Lubin.
