An Amtrak struck a 23-year-old man near Water Street in Guilford around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The train was delayed about an hour and 15 minutes before resuming service, according to an Amtrak spokesperson.
The unidentified victim died at Yale New Haven Hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
