New London police are investigating after a delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night.
Police say they responded around 10:27 p.m. to 159 Hawthorne Drive after receiving a call from Empire Pizza reporting one of their delivery drivers had been robbed.
Upon arrival, the victim reported that he was placing his delivery bag into his vehicle when he heard a male voice and felt what he believed to be a gun at the back of his head. The suspect demanded money, which the victim handed over. The suspect also took the victim’s wallet, then fled the scene.
Police attempted a canine track but it was unsuccessful.
