Rhonda Vincent Brings Bluegrass to CT

Southern Twang in Norfolk: Acclaimed bluegrass singer Rhonda Vincent headlines a show tonight at Infinity Hall. Vincent was a child star and member of her family's band, The Sally Mountain Show. She's been a mainstay on the scene ever since, regularly charting on the bluegrass and country charts, and was named the International Bluegrass Music Association Female Vocalist of The Year an impressive seven times. Listen to Vincent display her fast-paced vocals and indomitable banjo-strumming skills on the single "Heartbreaker's Alibi." Tickets are $35-$55. 8 p.m.

A Taste Of The Bayou: Renowned blues guitarist Tab Benoit takes the stage tonight at Fairfield Theatre Company's StageOne. Benoit is revered for his lightning-fast playing style and respected for his tireless conservation efforts in Louisiana. Listen to a live performance of "Shelter Me" here. Dubstep Night in NH: Toad's Place is throwing another booze-soaked Dubstep Party tonight featuring DJ HighLife and JiggaWompz of L.K.O.C. The venue's two bars will be serving up $1 well drinks and drafts until 10 p.m. and $3 PBR bottles all night. The dubstep series launched a few weeks ago and has emerged as a local favorite. You can't grab tickets online, but cover is only $5. Doors open at 9 p.m.
