Rock Out at Norwalk's Oyster Fest

FRIDAY-SUNDAY
Seafood Showcase: Norwalk hosts its super-sized Oyser Fest this weekend at Veteran's Park. The event draws over 100,000 visitors annually and this year's headliners are Fuel on Friday and Soul Asylum on Saturday. Both shows are at 9 p.m. Fairfield County locals are actually pretty excited about the has-beens, and you'll no doubt hear more than a few awful renditions of "Hemmorhage" and "Runaway Train." Absurdly earnest rock ballads aside, this waterfront bash is all about the clams, oysters and beer. Admission ranges from $10-$12. Tonight kicks off at 6 p.m.

FRIDAY
Shady Cohort: Eminem collaborator Royce da 5'9" gets the weekend started at Toad's Place. The Detroit native has been a force on the underground scene for years, but broke out when his Bad Meets Evil collaboration with Eminem, Hell: The Sequel, debuted atop the Billboard 200 in June. Watch a clip from the pair's intense Lollapalooza performance or listen to a studio cut of "Fast Lane." Tickets are $20. 8 p.m.

SATURDAY
Reservoir Dog DJ: Influential comic Steven Wright brings his deadpan delivery and offbeat one-liners to Fox Theater at Foxwoods. Wright's a two-time Emmy nominee, but is still probably most recognized for his scene-stealing turn as "The Guy on the Couch" in Half Baked or the "uninvited guest" on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Tickets are $30-$50. 8 p.m.

SUNDAY
Rundgren Redux: Progressive rocker Todd Rundgren played Hartford's Bushnell in March and now he's back again to take the stage at Ridgefield Playhouse. The acclaimed singer-songwriter hasn't released performance details, but will likely play at least one album in its entirety. Expect Rundgren to embrace his flair for the dramatic with elaborate lighting displays and costume changes. Tickets are $62. 7:30 p.m.
