Sambora to Miss Bon Jovi's CT Show

Guitarist has checked himself into rehab, according to reports.

Fans at the upcoming Bon Jovi concert at Mohegan Sun will see the band without lead guitarist Richie Sambora.

Sambora, 51, checked himself into rehab for a drinking problem, according to Reuters, and won't be with the band as they begin the latest leg of their North American Tour.

The band said it will go on with the tour, which includes a May 7 stop at Mohegan Sun. Band members have not said who will replace Sambora on the tour, but made it clear, they are sticking by their friend.

"Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi," the band said in a statement on its web site. "Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue on tour."
