Roddick Plays Match at Mohegan

Andy Roddick will appear at Mohegan Sun on Friday.

Earlier this month at the U.S. Open, Andy Roddick hung up his tennis racket for the last time as a professional, but that doesn't mean he's never setting foot on a tennis court again.

Roddick is coming to Connecticut on Friday to take part in "Match for a Cure," a charity event at Mohegan Sun Arena

Roddick will be joined by pro tennis players Gigi Fernandez and Jack Sock as well as Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from the Real Housewives of New York City and more.

The event features the pros competing on the court against former tennis pro and leukemia survivor Bill Przybysz in the "Ultimate Miracle Match."  The event is an all-star fundraiser as part of the Przybysz's Miracle Match Foundation, which helps people with life threatening injuries get a chance to play tennis.

The event will also help support Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

The match starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $60.
