Spend a Day at Etsy.com's Brooklyn HQ

Whether you're a design enthusiast, a vintage collector or an occasional consumer of D.I.Y., chances are you've logged hours sifting through the pages of crafty goods on Etsy.com.

In just six years, the virtual marketplace—which launched with a team of three—now counts 170 employees; lists ten million products on its site and has ten million users who've raked up $224 million in sales this year alone.

We wondered what it was like behind the scenes at Etsy, so The Feast/New York spent a day at their Brooklyn headquarters. We got the low-down on their "yarn-bombed" air ducts (courtesy of guerrilla knitter Magda Sayeg) and their twice-weekly communal lunch (appropriately pegged "Eatsy"), prepared by local eateries. We were lucky to hit up HQ when Radish catered: lobster rolls and homemade potato chips were on the menu.
