The Devil's Hopyard

Natural Geology or Something Sinister?

Devil's Hop yard, East Haddam

If the devil's dog lives in Meriden, the devil himself is believed by some to live in East Haddam. His "home" would be an 860-acre park called "Devil's Hopyard." There are potholes throughout the area that geologists say were carved by the water, but some locals claim they were created by Satan's hooves. They'll also tell you when no body's watching, he sits above the Chapman Falls.

With that said, it seems he would prefer a warmer climate at this time of year.
