Hartford police are investigating after a Trinity College student was robbed off campus Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
According to Trinity College officials, the male student was robbed of cash and his cellphone around 3:40 p.m. Thursday. Police said it was not a random act, and that the victim and robbers knew each other.
School representatives said the victim has given two different accounts of what happened, but both stories involved a blue SUV.
The robbery did not happen on school ground, according to Trinity officials.
Hartford police are actively investigating.
