Jerome Junior was suspended for a violation of team rules.

Jerome Junior, a safety on UConn’s football team, has been suspended from the team and is no longer enrolled at the school.

Officials from the University of Connecticut said on Thursday that Junior was suspended for a violation of team rules, but did not divulge any details.

Junior, who would have been a fifth-year senior next fall, is no longer enrolled at UConn and will not be in school next fall, according to UConn.

Junior was fourth on the team with 60 tackles in 2011.
