The Mystic Aquarium is getting a big financial boost from United Technologies Corp.
The company is donating $1 million to help pay for the expansion and transformation of the aquarium's Challenge of the Deep exhibit hall.
The United Technologies Ocean Exploration Center will be the only exhibit in the world dedicated to deep sea oceanographic archaeology, geology and live, interactive exploration.
The money will also help pay for new exhibit space and a 4D motion theater to highlight the history of human undersea exploration.
