What You're Doing Tonight: April 27

Hip-Hop royalty will take the stage tonight at Toad's Place in New HavenKRS One, promoter of "The Gospel of Hip Hop," will perform tonight at 9 p.m.

KRS-One has been performing since 1986 and is about to release his 17th album.  He was given a lifetime achievement award at the 2008 BET awards for his influence on hip-hop and his work and effort towards the Stop the Violence Movement.

Tickets are $25 at the door.

If nothing else, this weekend's weather indicates that spring is here to stay.  And that means we're heading into the prime of wedding season.

Brides-to-be (with grooms-to-be in tow) can head to the Water's Edge at Giovanni's in Darien for the "Everything Bridal Show." It's the perfect opportunity to find the perfect florist, photographer, DJ, band, limo, invitations, jewelry, tuxedos and gowns. (Head spinning yet?) One lucky couple at the show will even walk away with a free honeymoon.

The show is tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  It's free to get in, but reservations are encouraged, and can be made at the Everything Bridal Web site.

After all that wedding planning, you're probably going to need to relax (believe me, I've been there).

And with this summer-like weather, why not dine outside?

You can relax after a long day at work or play at the Bushnell Park Café at the Pump House in downtown Hartford.

The cafe offers happy hour from 4-7p.m. with $5 frozen drinks and draft beer starting at $2.
