7/28: Zombies, Show Tunes and Sing-alongs

ZOMBIE THEATER:  Imagine your favorite horror movie as a musical.  Yeah, I know, we never thought of it either.  But Bill Arnold, a member of New Britain's Hole in the Wall Theater did.  He's written and composed "Night of the Musical Dead," a zombie musical that pays homage to the classic "Night of the Living Dead," as well as other zombie flicks and even "Thriller."  "Night of the Musical Dead," runs through August 22.  Click here for ticket info and show times.

ON THE ROAD WITH ALLISON:  They were once on top of the '90s pop rock scene.  With hits like "Hey Jealousy," "Found Out About You," and more the Gin Blossoms are still on the guilty pleasure playlist of many.  After a lengthy hiatus (with some serious life stuff sprinkled in), the Blossoms are back.  They released a comeback album in 2006, and are working on a new record as they hit the road.  Tonight, they're playing at the Infinity Music Hall & Bistro.  (They're also headed to Mohegan Sun for a free show on August 2.)  Tickets for tonight's gig are $45-$70.  8PM

LOVVE IS IN THE AIR:  Any of these catch-phrases strike your fancy?  Indie rock, noise pop, post punk.  UK rockers "Lovvers" are heading to "The Space" in Hamden tonight, along with Birth of Flower and the Procedure Club.  Tickets are just $8.  7PM.
