6/17: Mohegan Sun, Mystic Seaport and Much More

You can go your own way tonight, but we wouldn't recommend it.  And don't you go thinking about tomorrow.  We're here for your listening pleasure tonight!

Fleetwood Mac is playing at the Mohegan Sun Arena, and there are still tickets available.  It's your chance to see Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie up close and personal.  And even if you aren't a huge fan of the music (like me, I've never heard of "Landslide" or "Rhiannon"), it's at the very least a chance to see how all the Behind the Music infighting played out.  Tonight's show starts at 7:30, and tickets are $95 and $125.

Sticking with the music theme, we're taking you down the Mystic River.

The Mystic Seaport is debuting a new feature this summer: The Music on the River Series aboard the museum's "Sabino" steamboat.

Every Wednesday, you can enjoy a cruise on the 101-year-old boat and listen to the acoustic sounds of some of the area's finest performers.  There are snacks and a cash bar (the only downside) for everyone aboard.  Tickets are $25 per person, or $22 for members.  Just click here for more info.

Finally tonight, we've got a little theater for you.

One of Samuel Beckett's early novellas, "First Love," is being brought to the stage as a one-man play.  The show debuts tonight at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven.

"First Love" is filled with plenty of black humor, as it tells the story of a young man expelled from his family home upon the death of his father.  The man takes refuge on a bench by a canal, where he meets a woman who takes him home, with disastrous consequences. The show runs through June 20, with performances at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are just $30.

There you have it.  Enjoy your Hump Day!
