What You're Doing Tonight: May 7

We're bringing the funny, bringing the country, and bringing the food tonight.

Get your best "Goat Boy" ready.  Jim Breuer is back in Connecticut.

The comic is kicking off a 3-night stand tonight at the Hartford Funny Bone in Manchester.

Besides his classic SNL character, Breuer is best known for his unforgettable role as a stoner in the cult-classic "Half-Baked."  He's been one of the most sought after stand-up comedians in the country ever since.

The Funny Bone is located at the Shoppes at Buckland Hills.  Thursday's show starts at 7:30, and tickets are just $22-$25.  If you can't make it tonight, Jim Breuer brings the laughs five more times through Sunday night.

I wish I could write this one with a twang.  A sea of Aussies in cowboy hats may be taking over Mohegan Sun tonight.  Mr. Nicole Kidman, a.k.a. Keith Urban is performing at the casino.  Urban is on a North American tour promoting his new album "Defying Gravity."  The first single "Sweet Thing" has already become a top five country single, his 18th.

Urban is joined on the tour by Sugarland.  The duo has four #1 hits, and has been nominated for a half-dozen Country Music Awards.

Tonight's show starts at 7:30.  There's another show Friday night at 7:30.  Tickets are a little on the steep side, starting at $110.  But splurge -- you're worth it!

As for the food, eat in tonight!

Make a stop at the Farmers Market at Billings Forge in Hartford.  The market is the biggest in the capitol city.  They sell local veggies, fruits, bread, meat cheese, ice cream, coffee, salsa (I'm getting hungry. But you get the idea).

There's also live music and prepared foods if working a stove isn't your thing.

The Farmers Market at Billings Forge is open Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. all summer long.
