A dramatic classic is making a temporary home in New Haven. Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie" is playing at the Long Wharf Theater.
The play, which was Williams' first successful play, tells the story of Laura, a timid girl, living in a world of delicate cut glass animals. Her life is shattered when her mother encourages her to meet a gentleman caller.
Stage and screen actress Judith Ivey stars, along with small screen star Josh Charles in this version of an American classic.
