A partially decomposed and frozen body was discovered by a man who was walking through a wooded area in Wethersfield Saturday afternoon.
The man was walking along the bike path near Church Street and next to the football field at Wethersfield High School when police said he discovered the body. He immediately called police.
When officers found the body, it was partially decomposed and lying in the snow about 100 yards from the bike trial, said police.
Due to the decomposition of the body, police said that they were unable to identify the victim's race or sex.
The body was transported to the state's Chief Medical Examiner's office. A cause of death has not been determined at this time.
