Michael Chaves, 39, had been wanted by police in Branford, Conn., for the death of a fellow freelance mover, Dale Anderson, in the trailer portion of his truck on April 17.
Early Monday morning, police got word from their colleagues in Phoenix, AZ, that they had taken Chaves into custody for attempting a residential burglary there.
Chaves had been featured in July and again this month on the TV show "America's Most Wanted".
Branford Police chief John DeCarlo said in a press release: "I am hopeful that his capture on unrelated crimes and the hard work of our officers will bring justice and eventually closure for Mr. Anderson's family."
