DMV Deputy Commissioner Resigns

Victor M. Diaz, the deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles has resigned  for "personal reasons."

“I accepted the resignation last night at 8:40 p.m. of the Deputy Commissioner for personal reasons,” a statement from Commissioner Melody Currey says. 

Currey appointed Diaz in 2011.

A news release on his appointment said Diaz had served as Deputy City Clerk in Waterbury since 2005 and served in the United States Army from 1996 to 2004, when he received an honorable discharge.
