    A 30-year-old Stamford man has been arrested on a warrant charging him with kidnapping a woman from a Stamford nightclub and sexually assaulting her last year.

    Police said Shahdan Sallaj and an accomplice identified as Shefki Mahmutaj met the victim in a Stamford nightclub in May 2010, lured her outside, forced her into a vehicle and drove her to a secluded spot in Stamford, where she was sexually assaulted.

    Sallaj was arrested on Wednesday and is being held on a $250,000 bond. He was charged with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree kidnapping. His next court date is scheduled for March 29 at Stamford Superior Court.
