UConn's 2018 Spring Weekend is Here

The University of Connecticut is holding its 2018 Spring Weekend this weekend on the Storrs campus.

The events for UConn students kicked off last night and will run through Saturday night. They're only open to UConn students from all regional campuses and graduate students.

Friday's events include a spikeball tournament, bubble soccer and a movie night where they'll be showing "Black Panther" and "Pitch Perfect 3." Stephen A. Smith, sports radio host and journalist, will also be coming to UConn's campus to speak with students.

He sent out a message to students, letting them know he'll be coming as part of Spring Weekend.

The events don't stop there. On Saturday, students can dance the day away in a swing workshop. Choreographer and dancer Gaby Cook is making her way from New York City to Connecticut to teach students how to swing dance.

A food truck festival will be held on Fairfield Way and "Pitch Perfect 3" will be playing for students for a movie night.

Stand-up comedian and actor, Michael Che, from Saturday Night Live will be coming to campus as well on Saturday.

All these events throughout the weekend are put on by UConn students. The full schedule of events can be found on the UConn Spring Weekend website
