Vandals Strike Historic Cemetery

Police are searching for vandals who toppled dozens of tombstones at a historic cemetery in Hartford.

The manager at Spring Grove Cemetery on Main Street made the discovery Monday morning.  "It's difficult for me to put into words the anger I experienced when I saw this.  It represents something that is repulsive as far as I'm concerned," said manger Albert Lennox.

Up to 35 tombstones were overturned, but fortunately not damaged, according to police.  Lennox, however, says it will take a lot of manpower to get them upright again.

Spring Grove Cemetery was founded in 1845 and many historic Hartford families are buried there.
