Bush Turning 85 in Style

Ex-Prez spotted with beauty; plans parachute drop to celebrate birthday

He may be turning 85, but former President George H.W. Bush isn't slowing down.

First, there was this racy photo out of Kennebunk, which showed up on Facebook, showing a bikini-clad beauty lounging on the 41st President's lap. Okay, okay, so she was part of the cast from a playhouse production of "A Chorus Line" and she was there to help entertain Barbara Bush for her 84th birthday. And sure, Barbara posed with a diesel young castmember in a speedo, too. Still, how many octogenarian guys get THAT lucky?

And then, Dubya's Dad announced that he's not yet finished with that peculiar birthday tradition of his -- jumping out of planes. In fact, Bush said he plans to celebrate his 85th birthday Friday by making a parachute jump in Maine, where he has his summer home.

Aide Jim Appleby said Tuesday that Bush will make a tandem jump with a member of the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team onto a landing zone near St. Ann's by the Sea Church in Kennebunkport.

Bush's most recent jump was in November 2007 at the reopening of his library at Texas A&M University in College Station.

He made his first jump as a Navy pilot when his plane was shot down over the Pacific during World War II. He also made two jumps apiece on his 75th and 80th birthdays.

Makes you wonder what he's got planned for No. 100.
