Biden: The World is Ready for a Makeover

ROYAL AIR FORCE BASE MILDENHALL — Vice President Joe Biden met with U.S. military families at an air base in Great Britain as he returned to the U.S. from an international conference in Germany.

Biden told those gathered Sunday at the base in eastern England that he got a good reception from world leaders.

The new vice president said, in his own words, the "world is ready for a new look." He added that he believes there is a real sense of excitement in other nations about the Obama presidency.

The vice president joked that reporters traveling with him were waiting for him to say something wrong. He turned to his press contingent and said, "I'm only kidding, guys — I never say anything wrong."

Biden's plane refueled at Royal Air Base Mildenhall, where the 100th Air Refueling Wing of the U.S. Air Force is stationed.
