Mel Gibson's “Other Woman” Comes Forward

Mel Gibson may be yelling "Freedom!" Braveheart style now that he's getting divorced from his wife of 28-years, because he seems to have scored himself a smoking-hot Russkie.

Various reports say the 53-year-old actor has fallen in love with 24-year-old Russian pop singer Oksana Pochepa.

The brunette told the London Sun that she was the mystery woman seen with Gibson on a Costa Rican beach in March.

"This is serious and I hope that our union will be real and strong and long-lasting," she told the tabloid.

"We are different people, but Mel is a grown man and knows precisely what he wants and me too — I know what I want.”

A source told Us Weekly magazine that the two met last August on a Massachusetts set when Pochepa was hired to write a song for the upcoming movie "Edge of Darkness."

"They would come out and attempt to walk around separately, but then at the end of the day, they both returned to the same hotel," the on-set source told Us Weekly. "She was there on and off for a week, but it was clear she had no business there other than to be with Mel."

Meanwhile, Gibson is about to become half the man he used to be, at least in the wallet department.

Experts estimate that divorcing Robyn Moore, his wife of 28 years, may cost the "Payback" star close to $500 million, and will undoubtedly be the the costliest celebrity divorce ever, because the couple has no pre-nuptial agreement.

"This could easily be one of the biggest divorce settlements in Hollywood history," Los Angeles family lawyer Lynn Soodik, who's not involved with the case told People Magazine. "Any attorney would advise her to take half."

Gibson's net worth is estimated at around $900 million with more than $600 million coming from "The Passion of the Christ" alone, $100-plus million in real estate investments worldwide and $75 million for film and TV projects for which Gibson executive produced, not to mention residual checks from the "Lethal Weapon" series which always seems to be on television.

Other celebrity divorces wouldn't even hold a candle to this monster. The most expensive celebrity divorce to date goes to his Airness, Michael Jordan who forked over $168 million to ex-wife Juanita in 2000 and Steven Spielberg is up there with his $100 million payout to ex Amy Irving.

Soodik says that the estranged couple likely won't enter a protracted legal battle.

"This divorce will probably reach a settlement in a matter of months," Soodik says. "It likely won't be messy since there's enough money to go around."

Should the divorce get nasty, both Gibsons have lined up high-profile Hollywood lawyers to fight on their behalf.

Mel is using prominent divorce lawyer Robert Kaufman, whose star clients include Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Reese Witherspoon and Robyn  has lined up Laura Wasser, who has handled divorces for the likes of Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder, TMZ reported.

Robyn Gibson, in papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, is seeking joint custody of their youngest child, Thomas, who turned 10 on Tuesday. The Gibsons have six other children, aged 19 to 28.
