Banned Owners Sell Driving School

Connecticut's largest driving school has new owners and managers in the driver's seat after the old ones got kicked to the curb for notarizing and submitting false address verification documents to the DMV.

All-Star Driver bought the Academy of Driving.

The former owners of Academy of Driving, Jack and Sharon Sousa, have been banned from teaching driving in the state for life.

Last month, they were sentenced to probation on forgery, conspiracy and criminal impersonation charges. The two admitted to notarizing and submitting false address verification documents to the DMV.

All-Star Driver is an affiliate of All-Star Transportation, which is a private Connecticut school bus company.

The Sousas had until midnight Tuesday to sell the Watertown-based driving school.
