More Lay-Offs Coming

ING and Protocol Integrated Direct Marketing will lay off people in Connecticut

Connecticut's workforce continues to get battered. Two more companies will lay off employees.

Protocol Integrated Direct Marketing will close its call center in Cheshire.

More than 160 workers at the McKee Place facility will be laid off in March. The company provides marketing and customer service for insurance and financial services companies.

ING is also making big cuts.

The company plans to eliminate 750 jobs in the U.S., including nearly 100 positions in the greater Hartford area. ING employs about 2,000 people in Hartford and Windsor. The company has about 11,000 workers nationwide.
