Incumbent Congressman Joe Courtney was reelected to another term in Connecticut's Second District.

He beat Republican challenger Janet Peckinpaugh by double digits Tuesday night.

Courtney, a two-term Congressman was able to use his vote against the unpopular TARP bailout bill to bolster his support in the Second District.

Peckinpaugh, a former news anchor and small businesswoman, ran into financial troubles towards the end of her campaign.
