Kashi Issues Product Recall

The peanut scare sweeping America is now affecting a southern California company.

The La Jolla-based Kashi Company said on its Web site  that "as a result of the expansion of the Peanut Corporation of America’s recall to include all peanut ingredients produced in their Blakely, Ga., facility since Jan. 1, 2007, a voluntary nationwide recall has been issued" for some of Kashi's products.

The Kashi products affected by the recall include select Kashi TLC Chewy Granola Bar flavors and all Kashi TLC Chewy Cookie flavors. (Go to Kashi's Web site and click on the "Which Kashi Products Are Included in the Recall?" link.)

The company stressed that nobody has reported becoming sick from eating any Kashi products. No other Kashi products are being recalled.
