Enfield police are investigating after one person was injured in a shooting on Green Valley Drive, police said Monday.

Police arruved on scene in the residential neighborhood early Monday morning. Police confirmed that one person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries that may have been caused by a BB gun.

A 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody, police said.

Green Valley Drive is near Enfield High School, but police said there was no impact to classes. Some buses were asked to reroute but the danger has passed and that order has been lifted.

There is no danger to the public at this time.
