Police in Ledyard are investigating a burglary at a local package store.
Police said they received a report of an alarm activation around 6 a.m. Sunday morning at the Bears Place Package Store at 126 Gallup Hill Rd.
When police arrived they discovered that a large rock had been thrown through the front window of the store and a significant amount of cigarettes were stolen from inside.
Police said they are investigating to see if this incident is connected to other store burglaries in the area.
