Three Charged in Garden Street Fatal Shooting

Police said Rhaquis Grant, 21, died at St. Francis Hospital.

Police have arrested three suspects in a fatal shooting on Garden Street, in the North End of Hartford on the night of March 8.

Rhaquis Grant, 21, of Hartford died at St. Francis Hospital. A second victim was treated at St. Francis Hospital.

Police charged Corey Mapp, 26, of Hartford, and Craig Johnson, 27, of Hartford, with felony murder, home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first degree robbery and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Mapp was also charged with first-degree assault. He remains in custody on a $1 million bond and will be arraigned in Hartford Superior Court.

Johnson was also charged with criminal possession of a pistol. He remains in custody on a $2 million Judge set bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court.

Chad Adger, 21, of Hartford, is currently in police custody on unrelated charges and will be charged with murder, felony murder and home invasion, police said. He has a Judge set $2 million bond and will be arraigned in Hartford Superior Court.
