New Britain police arrested a man and woman accused of setting fire to a porch last night.
New Britain firefighters and police officers responded to 243 South Main St. at 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving a report that there was a fire on the front porch.
Police arrested Jason Vaughn and Jennifer Boatman based on their statements and actions, as well as witness accounts, police said.
Investigators believe the two had been fighting when the fire was allegedly set, but have not determined a motive for the fire.
